Leslie Juvin-Acker's journey into the world of spiritual communication began unexpectedly in 2012, shortly after the birth of her daughter. "I thought I was crazy and went to see every doctor possible," Leslie recounts.
She consulted psychiatrists, counselors, general practitioners, and even underwent extensive neurological testing.
"There was nothing wrong with me," she recalls. However, it wasn’t until a psychic reading that her path became clear. “The psychic told me I would eventually go to California and do what she does—read celebrities and other people for a living. I thought she was crazy.”
But as Leslie’s experiences intensified, the once unthinkable prediction began to take shape. Soon after, she found herself in California, reading for the rich and famous, just as the psychic had foreseen.
Seeing Beyond: Living with Spirits
“What is it like to ‘see dead people’?” Leslie has been asked this question countless times. Initially, her abilities were subtle. “I used to just feel them and sense them in my mind’s eye,” she explains. But over time, these impressions transformed into vivid visual experiences.
She describes one such encounter: “The other day, I saw the spirit of a black child riding his bike down a dirt path. I literally thought I was seeing a child and stood aside.”
Her husband, Franck, was puzzled when Leslie stepped out of the way for what appeared to be nothing. He said, "What are you doing?"
She replied, "Waiting for that kid." No child came.
Yet moments later, a black woman rode down the same trail.
“Was that child hers? A friend? I don’t know. It didn't matter to me,” she muses.
For Leslie, these moments have become part of everyday life, where the physical and spiritual worlds seamlessly coexist.
Beyond the Readings: Reclaiming Identity
Despite her undeniable talent, Leslie chose to step away from professional mediumship.
“I was shown that I was actually helping the souls express themselves and not so much their loved ones who came to see me for readings,” she shares.
This realization, coupled with the overwhelming demand and pressure of being labeled simply as “a medium,” prompted her to take a step back. “I felt used by people always asking me, ‘What do you see around me?’ I’m not what I do—I’m so much more.”
Leslie’s decision to stop providing readings was a powerful act of reclaiming her identity, one that she felt was being overshadowed by the expectations and needs of others.
The Truth Behind Psychic Abilities
For Leslie, psychic abilities are not a rare gift but a human potential that anyone can access. “I have no doubt that we all have this capacity,” she asserts.
The challenge, however, lies in our relationship with truth. “You cannot exercise psychic abilities if you are afraid of the truth. Most people don’t want to hear the truth, let alone live the truth.”
According to Leslie, the foundation of any psychic ability is a commitment to truth—understanding it, accepting it, and living it. “Until you’re ready to do that, you won’t be able to use them effectively.”
Guiding the Next Generation: Mentoring Mediums
Leslie’s profound experiences have led her to guide others in their own journeys of self-discovery and spiritual mastery.
“I have mentored many psychics and mediums on the technicalities of being a medium and using abilities to build a beautiful, good life,” she says.
One of her most poignant mentorships was with Daniel Beavers, a young man struggling with voices and feelings he didn’t understand. “He was on the verge of suicide. But once I told him he’s a medium and that he only needs to understand and learn to use his abilities, he allowed me to coach him and teach him.”
